Software to reduce Microsoft's spying in Windows 10
« on: August 20, 2015, 04:25:57 PM »
I discovered this software package today: http://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10/update It seems do a pretty good job of allowing you to turn off various spy features that Microsoft has implemented in Windows 10 (as well as some other recent versions).  They are a Microsoft Gold partner so they are quite reputable.  Since it's freeware it's worth giving it a shot.  It seems quite easy to use and covers most of the bases that have been brought up.

I've been using it on both my machine and my wife's machine and it seems to work very well.  It seems to cover all of the issues that anybody has brought up as possible issues with how Windows 10 could possibly be spying on you and also lets you set up security how you want it to be instead of how Microsoft thinks it should be.
