Rick - I've never know anyone to post such cryptic posts as you.

Would you like to explain what you are talking about because I doubt any of us are mind readers and certainly not me.

alternative to firefox i like to use is comodo's ice dragon and a alternative to chrome i like to use is comodo's  comodo dragon browser and if you want extra security to that i run it sandboxed with comodos internet security free version but that is me Lol i have a computer that way over powered compared to the normal average computers that this is really light weight to me.

Open Firefox "Options" > "Advanced" > "Data Choices" and uncheck all the boxes.

And/ Or,  enter "about:config" in the address bar (without the "s), and set the following as below:

toolkit.telemetry.archive.enabled to false
toolkit.telemetry.enabled to false
toolkit.telemetry.unified to false

Or in a similar vein to Julian' suggestion, Pale Moon and Sandboxie work well, and that is on a super low spec machine.

Hi, Samson, I do not know anything about telemetry. What is this thread about? How could you guess about telemetry and firefox. I am using firefox . Is firefox , is spying ? I am updating firefox and using for ever. Please, anyhow, i will make those things. Let me know, what this about?

Hi, I have checked the link and also saw some of the posts.
i did as you say in the options, advanced menu. The second toolkit.telemetry is by default in false position and so left it as it is . But on completing the commands , suddenly i experienced black screen , with no monitor, no browsing .. etc.
i just saw the monitor blue light just staying for some minutes. I just force close the computer by power off and then rebooted . The first boot was not success , but second success. Is that anything to do with disabling this telemetry entries

Very, very unlikely that changing browser settings would affect PC boot.

Hi, Rick, would you give some more lines. Which file i have to delete. You mean the firefox application? If a word is added to your crisp reply, the exact thing would be known.

So, did you uninstall Firefox or Windows OS?

I would have thought that in China there are far greater powers keeping a closer eye on your online activity than Mozilla
