Title: System tweaks status detection?
Post by: TweakHeaven on October 22, 2017, 11:35:58 am
Hello everyone, I wanted to ask if Windows Repair detects the current status of the offered tweaks. From a quick test, it seems it doesn't.

For example, I've already applied with Windows Repair (v4 Pro) the Search Indexer tweak. I then closed WR, manually started and enabled the Windows Search service and reopened WR which still reports that tweak as enabled (=service disabled, which it wasn't any more).

If this is the case, it'd be really helpful if WR could detect the status every time it opens (an optional warning/notification might help even more) so we could know if tweaks have been reverted (including the F8 Boot menu tweak), after a Windows update for example or by some other program.

I'll pass it on.
