General Computer Support / Re: Hard Drives
« on: August 09, 2018, 02:14:22 pm »
Got it fixed, turns out the ssd drive was using the sata 1 port address. Disconnected 2 nd ssd connection and plugged sata drive into that sata port and all drives are working fine.

Hey guys I just bought a ASUS ROG Desktop. It came with a 250 GIG SSD and a Seagate 1tb SATA Drive. All work great. I bought a 2nd 4 TB Seagate SATA Drive and hooked it up to the 2nd sata channel and neither drives show up or sometimes only one of the sata drives show up in file manager or disk management. If I hook them up by themselves they work fine. I have contacted ASUS and they told me to update the bios to version 305 which I did. Still does not work and trying to get a straight anser from them is impossible. In the bios the drives show up when only 1 sata is hooked up, but does not when both sata are hooked up. Any ideas guys ?

Tried with mov's mkv's mp4's and even the vod formats. ALl crash. But if I love windows 7 in safe mode the videos will play fine. I have run tweaking program twice now and still I cannot figure this out.

I think the VPN software screwed a setting in my windows but for the life of me I cannot figure it out. Like I said when I reboot into win 10 and load bitcomet it works fine (dual booting). And all of the computers in house work fine, just my windows 7 bitcomet not working, any other torrent program on the windows 7 works fine.

Hi guys, got a problem, I installed 3 different VPN free softwares and I could not get any of them to work so I un-installed them and ran ccleaner to remove what was not removed and deleted references to the programs in the registry. Now when I load bitcomet it says "Can not listen to port 25615, (25615UDP)" I am dual booting with windows 10 so I booted into 10 and installed bitcomet and it works fine. So the vpn software has screwed up settings for bitcomet, I checked windows firewall and it is being allowed to send data out. Am stumped.(:

General Computer Support / Re: RAID
« on: April 14, 2017, 12:45:14 pm »
Cool. I booted my computer up without the cages on and when windows was booted up I turned the sans on and all the drives showed up, ran chkdsk on them all and all fine. Tagged a bunch of torrents and downloaded files overnight and it is still going with no errors. The mouse is still jittery with the sans running. I then turn the other raid cage on and all good. Moving files from both cages. I think I will reinstall the driver for the sans (jbod driver).

Hey guys i just bought from ebay a couple of RAID Cages with drives. They are a SANS DIGITAL TowerRAID TR4M eSATA 4-drive tower JBOD/RAID w/Four 2TB Hard Drives (Setup up using JBOD), this connects through a ESATA card and a OWC MERCURY ELITE-AL PRO Qx2 - 8TB OF STORAGE (4 2 tb drives)(Setup up as RAID 5), this connects via USB. When i am fully booted up my mouse is acting jerky and i sometimes get the blue screen of death in Windows 7 Home Premium. Can these 2 cages conflict with each other. Also the Sans sometimes locks up when i try to run a chkdsk on drives 2 3 4. I copied over 1tb of files to drive 1 with no problems. I have taken the drives out and connected them to my docking station and all loaded fine and checked out fine using chkdsk. Any suggestions ????

General Computer Support / WDTV (Western Digital TV Box)
« on: October 06, 2016, 11:04:18 pm »
Anyone have one of these? When I first got it I could access all usb drives connected to it from all my pc's and imac. Now only the imac can see the usb drives and copy from them. I cannot write to them from the imac (drives are NTFS). On the pc's now I only see a WDTV listed under networks and when I click on it it loads the WDTV web page to logon and edit the settings for the drive. Before there was also another wdtv and when I clicked on it it expanded to show all drives connected to the WDTV. Am confused as to why all of a sudden this has happened. All the usb drives have sharing set via windows 7.

That's my next step but have to figure out which ones they are in the device manager.
