hi, I tried aswmbr by avast. It shows nothing in red lines. You mean to say that it is coming again either thro mbr and recycle bin , that is system restore points.  After this behaviour, i turned off system restore on c:, On all other drives the default is system restore is turned off. But the ps kill exe were found in other drives only. I , did take the risk of resetting of my mbr with aswmbr fixmbr. which is available tool in the windows running normal mode. Now i hope everything would be fine with the system. Did not i mention that avast has deleted more viruses automatically in my posts.
              Why cannot you also include this mbr fix in your registry tool all in one, one of the best tool i ever use

Hi, Shane Thank you very much for your considered reply. I thought mcafee as . But the link clearly shows that yours is correct and perfect free tool. I will definitely switch to avast free edition, which i was using before and to which i have raised slowness of system queries. But surfing thro the net, so many edu inst are using that . Anyhow, avast also has the best anti root kit detector, in their inbuilt program. They also provide a single download of their anti root kit, called aswmbr, i suppose. It catches the rootkit, howsover deep in the system.
        I will use avast with the settings you prescribed for effective use. Thank you and the thread opener oscar.
         You give your answers after going thro so many issues , thank you and this article would no doubt immensely benefit all the users

          Is there any setting adjustments in the "components" in avast free , while installing like file and behaviour selection in the sheild menu.

Hi, I am having windows 7 and i was having problem in accessing safe mode. I ran your specific registry fix item for fixing the problem. The problem got solved and after sometime, it again happened that i could not boot in safe mode. I had some pskill exe , remote admin access trojan and fixed it.i thoroughly checked for rootkits and virus and the computer is clean of virus malware etc. This options i had done in safe mode.

         What are the causes for this behaviour. How safe mode could be compromised. Which is the main cause , is it rootkit or virus that is responsible for this behaviour.
         When i use your fix it goes off and i could access. Then comes back after a while. I turned the system restore off while scanning with anti virus

Hi, Shane thank you for your sweet and apt answer. But then infected ips are a concern nowadays , causing spammers to spam and worry the users. Recent is the case of compromising system in spamheus, a spam ip filter organisation, where so many requests are given by the spammer to just paralyse this spamheus. My knowledge about router is nil and excuse, if anything wrong in my words.
       All the more it is important that every user having internet to know such small things. Normally, we see whether the modem and tele line are working and log on to computers without knowing what are the risks one has to be beware. Thank you for your excellent answer. So many would be benefited by this

Hi, What about avira. I was using mcafee when i was in xp, but when i changed to windows 7, it does not support the 8.7 version. Tried installing 8.8 version, downloaded latest  updates, but alas, the mcafee agent was missing. There is epo settings, of which i do not know much.
    Avast, also slowed down for it readily enables itself by default on all the scans associated with it , about 10 scans beside real access scan. So, my pc slowed down a bit.
     Now, i am using free avira. It caught about 26 virsues or pup which all other virus engines do not catch. The system also shows some improvement in speed after switching to avira free tool for six months .\

Hi,    Really it is the best tool every computer technician have in their bag. It fixes everything that a system needs. I had problem of  accessing the windows in safe mode. The other fixes are confusing and time consuming. I know that my pc was compromised by hidden processes which stops me from accessing and killing them.
               I just went to the tool and select the "windows Safe Mode fix" and wow, i could now access it without much difficulty.
               A small request to the owner.
              During my running of the all in one tool, host fix was blocked by the antivirus program. But at the end , i noticed and diable the host protection from my antivirus, avira to refix the hosts file. This is one of the most important system file, usually targeted by the malicious programs.
             So, if any thing like that is blocking the program may flash the message that it is being blocked from accessing the system files so that user would know and do the necessary settings change to enable the all in one tool to fix the problem

             I would also suggest a registry fix for msi execute  errors, a windows installer program corruption or missing file errors which are mostly used by many program.

Hi, Thank you. Will it be useful in finding what are the present connection, ie, the company, or third parties trying to  hack your data, by simply injecting trojan or malware, silently transmitting our user data to the hacker servers. How to use it . If suppose there is no entry , does that mean no ip is trying to use their third party, hidden activities.
          Simply, what it will do for a stand alone computer.

Hi, I have already used that tool. Anyhow, i will use it again. I clicked on 4 fixes and it is matter of seconds before it fixed all. Should i have to continually use your tool or is it a one time? Yesterday, i used your tool ipblock. What it actually does? It shows nothing , no ip address/ But some default available values have been given. Will this tool block or show the third party ips, or connection in a pc.
    I am learning so many things from your tool and also your tips. Thanks a lot

Hi,    I tried all the things including windows updates. One of the window updates did installed the drivers to this printer But when i try to print say about 10 pages, first 2 pages print and then stops in the middle, not showing the paper jam dialog box also. I attach the driver details of hp drivers installed by the windows updates. When i try to service the device, like alignment, test print etc. it does nothing, but shows that a file is missing or corrupt to continue.
           The printer price when i bought it is around Rs.1500 but the cartridge price is more in hp. i have to frequently change the cartridge. So, would you suggest a good printer, like your choice mpc player, which could support all windows .

              I tried to change the compatibility in the program also but it also fails. I have not tried hard ware repairs since it is printing.

Hi,   Pl find enclosed two files. One from netstat analysis and the other thro your svchost tool. When i did the netstat analysis to know the internet connection pids , there was a last pid no 800 which is having unknown letters starting from fe; etc. When i ran your tool it gives the process full information about all the hidden process also. I want to be doubly sure that no third party indirectly logging in to my computer. Pl kindly check whether there is one. Your ressult shows 800 pid no is that of the dhcp. Thank you  i am beginning to understand the utility of svchose look up tool. But how to know which svchose to be kept and which should not?
                       is my pc compromised on by third party? How to know that . A brief reply would clear my doubts about svchost files. Thank you in anticipation

Hi, After upgrading to the windows7, where all the drivers had automatically gets updated, the hp deskjet printer driver showed exclamation. I tried solutions thro, online help from HP. But there is no driver available for this printer in their website. REpeated calls to cust. care have also proved to be in vain. When i disconnected the usb and reinsert and try to install the driver, thro usb port, by msoft automatically, i did get 2 drivers installed and i could take a print out (Test Printout). But the device is not printing correctly. Any solution, shane

Hi, my display problem corrected with personalise, windows settings to windows basic in my windows 7 ultimate. I think the cs wall paper some time works with windows 7 , sometimes not. pl clarify. But it is a worth harmless and cool wall papar changer Oh what a relief to get back my colours in your site.
            I noticed a fact, that when i choose some pic as desktop wall paper changer in the cs wall paper changer, then i get this display problem. Please make it work with windows 7 also because it is you who developed this .

Hi, Thank for recommending media player classic . It has all the facilities. If suppose, i see a film and close it. My brother comes and hear some songs then in the same mpc. Then if i set to loop, as per your advice in a post that i started to play continuously then there is one setting available in the view -option -Media playar option, an Unmistakable icon, enabling one instance for each play. If you select, it then i can resume my movie from the last scene by opening File OPen recent menu and choose my file. What a great recommendation! Some of the recommendation you made has been wonderful utilities

Thank you for the reply . It works with windows seven also. The program does not have any popup, or daily asking of changing to pro and all that . It is nice, I will try to change it by using windows settings, It is really one that i was longing for . I have tried from free ones from internet, but some are having other unwanted links, which automatically pops up, whether you click it or not.

                                       Hi, Shane, the program is real blessing. By your sharing i know of it. Thank you once again. In adding it does not allow to add more than one picture, or continuous jpeg files in a folder by shift key. These are the improvements , i would suggest. Really thank you for sharing information, which one has.
                         By the By, when updating windows 7, about 136 updates have been installed. All are ok but the background colour or some display changed. Your screen was having green colour with bluish tinge. But now i am seeing white colour. How to find which updates have caused this to happen and how to locate that updates to have the previous back ground colour. My emails have also underlining in eaach of the mail. I am just copying this  screen shot for your ref for solution

                           Not only that the start icons of the ms office programs, also lost colur. I know that this is to be asked as a new thread. your replies are solicited.

Hi, Shane Thank you, but could the screen saver be adjusted in centre, and fit within a frame. Because, when i set a screen saver file it occupies, or otherwise, stretches the whole screen and give a truncated, or a trimmed look

Hi, Shane it is my humble opinion that these kind of sites could not be deleted that much easily. Your advice of not installing ie again  is very good advice.
     Even registry fix softwares could only verify the default entries, but could not delete the softwares malicious entries in the registry. The mcafee data base information would reveal this optly. It creates temporary folders and insert entries, and then removing some of the entries . I have removed babylon toolbar, incredible tool bar, funmoods only by this method as suggested by mcafee organisation. Since these are not viruses, they could not catch it. Even malware bytes, are malware rootkit have not yet been able to capture.
       The only problem in my solution, is the naming of registry entries. Some program do write registry entries in their own folder, for ex. funmoods, so finding and deleting the keys would be somewhat easy. But if the program inserts itself in some other name, then it is too difficult to find and delete the registry keys of malicious softwares         

    I am enclosing the install and reinstallation of i.e for 9 link below: I do not know the version of ie , the user having posted this question.
