I ran "ranas" multiple times and it seems to trigger "\Device\HarddiskVolume1\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\Policies\UnlockToken.pol " every run. Why you think that is?

also when running gpupdate /force it thinks I had an MDM. Even though the laptop was removed from MDM

Code: [Select]
Windows failed to apply the MDM Policy settings. MDM Policy settings might have its own log file. Please click on the "More information" link.
User Policy update has completed successfully.

For more detailed information, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H GPReport.html from the command line to access information about Group Policy results.

%temp% is per user account, right. Are there other temp folders? I cleared it, still the same error
I'm thinking that the runas error would somehow show up in procmon, no?

3
I think Windows is confusing the volumes or whatnot. I can't create new users and running

`runas  /user:uslap200\testadmin powershell`

caused the following error

`RUNAS ERROR: Unable to run - powershell`

`112: There is not enough space on the disk.`

running with `/noprofile` works

In procmon I  see accesses to the ESP volume. I don't understand why Windows is trying to access that during runas

`5:56:03.7124886 PM   lsass.exe   904   CreateFile   \Device\HarddiskVolume1\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\Policies\UnlockToken.pol   PATH NOT FOUND   Desired Access: Read Attributes, Synchronize, Disposition: Open, Options: Synchronous IO Non-Alert, Non-Directory File, Attributes: n/a, ShareMode: Read, Delete, AllocationSize: n/a`

Why is it trying to find this `UnlockToken.pol.` Googling links it with SCCM, but we don't use SCCM here.

I'm linking the procmon log here.

General Computer Support / errors found in sfcfix, need those files
« on: October 10, 2016, 03:37:41 pm »
Hi

I ran sfc and then sfcfix. Sfcfix found three errors that it can't fix. Can you help me with them?

The sfcfix log is attached here

Thanks

The only AV is Windows defender
I think the problem is the cumulative update and the flash update. Newer updates install fine

Hi

I can only boot in safe mode, normal mode boots into a black screen. I ran sfc /scannow and here is the CBS.log with all the errors.

The system is Windows 10 64 bit

thanks. I already found that program from before. Unfortunately, by itself its of little use. Although it's very helpful when used with a sfcfix script.

what you mean by chunk of the log around that. I posted the entire checksur.log. Do you want another log?

no, this is unrelated to other threads.

I'm down to a single error in checksur. It's blocking my updates from succeeding.

Someone else fixed most of the issues. But there is one left. Anyone here is welcome to take a crack at it.

Here is the new checksur.log

« on: October 02, 2015, 06:56:50 pm »
Hello

In non-safe mode the blue login screen is showing green and everything seems to have a white tint. I looked in intel settings, and everything  looks normal. In safe mode everything looks fine. For all you color theory nerds, what could turn blue into green.
I even tried a linux live usb to see if it's some GPU failure issue. No, everything works fine there.
