Yeah - run it on the notification email.  You should see the headers, but you have to click the dots, click reply, then click more then show original.

They don't make it easy. :)

Sorry - never saw this.

Hey there.  So, pg01 is one of our shared boxes.  We moved the server to a new host and sometimes that causes issues like that on the intial move - but  that was some time ago but right inthe wheel house of when you started seeing issues.

Whether the mail comes from the server or from the domain of the forum should be agnostic to google / gmail .

I just tested it out and had no issue.  This leads me to wonder if gmail learned on your service to spam the items

Can you send me a copy of the mail header so I can see if there is something there?

"Sign into your email in a web browser.
Open the email you want to check the headers for.
Next to Reply , click More, the three vertical stacking dots .
Click Show original. A page with the email headers will open in a new tab or window."

Thanks!

Well - considering you are the only one in many years to report this issue, I'm gonna guess it's something to do with your system and likely a result of what brought you to use the software to begin with.

Resetting the recycle bin is easy and a common issue with windows.  Feel free to google it.

The easiest is :
Running command prompt as admin and entering 'rd /s /q D:\$Recycle.b' (assuming windows 10)

Hope you have a better day.

Hard to say exactly. I looked at the ips and didn't noticed anything that looked like they were related accecpt that they seem portable. So I susecpt legit. SYN typically is looking to establish a connection once the ack is sent back - then the established sent. That doesn't mean that there is a physical connection - just that the two acknowledge they exists.

If I had to guess you have software - like ours - looking to verify ownership
. But I'll look into it further.

Are they always the same iPs?

...It's like the HokeyPokey - only with data. :)

It;s simply the normal registry file export that is used when shadow copy serivce is not avaialble.

Hmmm... OK. .dib is really a .bmp .

So at least we know that paint thinks it is actually an image.

I found this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/299953/you-may-be-unable-to-save-jpg-files-with-microsoft-paint-after-you-ins

I suspect that is the problem and an easy fix if need be.

It could be an issue with your shadow copy service. Did you try selecting the fall back option?

Always back up all your partitions if possible.  I mean frankly, you do not NEED them, as long ad C: and D: are perfect - but they may not be. Plus, the manufacturer put those there for a reason.  You have to have the efi to boot.

As for merging -- I was surprised to see such a large partition but it seems it is necessary per the acer community. https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/546513/what-is-in-the-1gb-recovery-partition

Hmmmm… haven't tried that. Let me see what I can do. I'll need a couple days to get to it though.

according to Lenovo (found with a search) this can happen when you do a system restore. The fix is to unprotect the missing version and delete it.   I've never done it, but it makes sense.

You can most likely ignore that.  It could be a number of things. sometimes naming convention, sometimes something wrong in an ini file pointing to the worng place - that can be a bear to hunt down.

If the programs are fine. I'd ignore.
So long as the drive is fine and there are no other issues.

Or you can do something like move Running Repair on C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV (1) to another drive and rename it to RecordedTV - and it should work fine.

Another thing to try. I have no done this but it come from microsoft support.

That error looks like it is do to a bad update of windows - which is what could have lead you to us to begin with.

The solution is to "Please navigate to this location. C:\windows\softwaredistribution\datastore\logs\edb.log.
Delete the 'edb' log file and reboot the computer and check the issue."

That seems a tad too simple - but stranger things happen.

That was supposed to be until 11/1 - SOMEONE forgot to take it down. I would LOVE to blame Boggin but he doesn;t have that access. One guy who does has 3 letters in his name.  :blank:

PS I sent you the code email me if you didnt get it.

Have you tried unplugging the drive extra drives? Is the machine fast then? This one smells like a bad drive from here>

The logs are here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Tweaking.com\Windows Repair (All in One)\Logs

It would be good to look at them.

The backups are at c:\regbackup. Anything there?

Looking into it.

We've had issues with developers editions locking into safe mode - but frankly calling safe mode is calling is the same.  Our program will undo that command.

I 'm not doubting, I'm just saying it makes little sense. I am wonder if 1809 somehow handles the undo differently - but .. that seems odd.

Have to do some testing.

The curse of every small developer is the virus scan. Truth is most are based on old information and do a horrid job on new files - hence anything that isn't already on a list of known apps and be detected whether they are a virus or not.. This is called false positives. Frankly I see more false positives than real detections. But it's a scam to make you feel good about them doing a bad job.

I susect the problem came form our last release as it was "new" but there are no detection at all on this file currently.

This is a horrible video - but it shows what the problem could be. Is that the solution?

I think you mean the window view. If you look wat down on the bottom right of the window there should be two icons to change the view. Otherwise right click in the window and click VIEW to choose the one you want.

I'd like to see a copy of that autorun.

I cant think of anything that would do that off hand. I mean I am assuming there were different file types and that you didn't type del *.exe /s someplace. ;)

So if the program said there was nothing deleted and you didn't delete them., they are there. Somehow.

If you right click on the folder that holds everything - are you sure that idf you look at the security tab that the permissions are correct for read and write?
