If you had access to a monitor, you MIGHT be able to see to reset the BIOS from Settings. That said, you might be right about the battery, but you're looking for the pins that say CLRCMOS or maybe CLRTC. Usually, an extra jumper is only connected to one of the pins (does nothing), and you move that jumper to both pins to "short" out the memory and restore the factory defaults. This explains it some:

Finally,  there's a couple videos and I wouldn't want to try this, but here you go:

or

I hope you get it!

If you give me the make and model of the laptop, I can double-check for you. They may be right, but that would be a first for me, so I'm curious.

3
Since he disabled it, if it's onboard, most likely it was on by default.

4
Oh, that's easier. Reset the BIOS to factory settings. Step 2, using the jumpers:

So you know, repairing the Microsoft Store would not affect your computer display. It's a coincidence that while fixing one thing, another broke, sadly not rare. The Windows Store fix is a well-documented registry change that's been used for years.

OK, next up. Once you have no screen or display, you have a problem, a BIG problem. That's why the repair shop sent it back.

The only option is to find a way to see the screen and use System Restore or reinstall. I suspect your display card, hardware, or the screen itself has died, so let's check that out:

Boot using ANY boot CD, bootable Linux, or thumb drive.  You could even boot off a Windows ISO or try the key combination to access your computer's restore program (if it has one).

If you STILL can't see your screen, you've eliminated Windows, and its settings as the problem and now know you have a hardware issue. By the way, any good shop should have done this for you.

I'm not too sure, but if you send as much info as you have to [email protected] we might be able to figure it out... Hopefully.

On it.

Since WR 4 has been almost a year, it should be seamless :)

11
Every major upgrade does require a renewal, as always to upgrade, which is optional.

12
Rest assured, he has it. He is really spending a lot of time working on WR, including a drive cleaner and hopefully 5.0.

13
When they update the app. I know Shane is working on some of the problems with translations, etc.

14
While you may not hear back HERE on the forums, rest assured both Jim and Shane are aware of any issues Jon has sent to them.

15
Just an update. Frankly, we were falling behind (400 emails), and we apologize for that. Jon has taken over the email support, and all responses should be fast now.

Karen's maybe? A lot of free apps don't offer incremental backups or auto delete. Many offer those as an upgrade beyond free, so finding a free one to suit your needs might be hard. Here are 2 you might consider?

Hi Rick,
Have you tried Malwarebytes?  That domain does not exist, so Malwarebytes would by my FIRST move:
https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/malwarebytes_anti_malware.html

Check Chrome as well:
Type in chrome://settings/content/notifications in the search bar
Click three dots on the right-hand side of each suspicious URL and click "Remove" under anything wth a similar domain name.

How to remove this from google....

https://product.renewnorton.com/

the normal ways are not working...

TIA and happy new year.

I didn't take it wrong in any way. We're just scratching our heads with you.

This won't be easy; there are a lot of possibilities. I would look at my router first. Is a firmware update for your router? Is your router failing? Is this a known issue and they have an updated router availalbe.

Otherwise, browse this topic:
