"autocheck autochk *" looks fine, check the same exists in the equivalent HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet00x\Control\Session Manager entries.

I said that there are a lot of entries, what exactly is it about???, but only the one related to autocheck etc.

102
Boggin - I have a MANY backup copy of the registry, but are too obsolete to enter into the system. So it's gone. But all you have to do is give me registry entries related to what I gave you earlier.

103
What do you see detailed for HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager -> BootExecute?

Code: [Select]
PDBoot.exe
C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe
C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe
autocheck autochk *

And for all the HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet00x\Control\Session Manager entries?
I do not know, but here I have not changed anything, there is a huge number of suboptions/subentry.

104
Boggin - LOL. I have not ruined my computer  :cheesy:, it's a harmless edition of CHKDSK, so relax. All have to do is set the correct, default settings in the registry. SFC /SCANNOW obviously does not restore the default registry settings associated with CHKDSK.
SFC /SCANNOW only scans system files and windows update.

105
How do I restore the default "autocheck" in the registry?  :undecided:
Caused by my erroneous editing sometime (2010 year)
Windows 7

Explorer crashes when files are deleted in subfolders. This is happening on all physical disks.

I use the most popular Windows 7, but it does not matter. In the first post I wrote about a system driver that got stuck, so I thought it was the fault of one of the disks.

108
I repeat that the system is working perfectly, I do not need to repair anything. It would not do anything, but would only cause you to lose valuable time to restore everything.
Sam came across the perfect solution to my problem and without having to repair the System (as your suggested a wrong solution)!
If the disk (non-system, only additional) is broken, it will cause the system not to start in safe mode. Disconnecting the faulty drive will make everything work perfectly. So why repair the system? Hmmm?

109
But how to solve this problem without the need to repair the system, later many programs do not work and drivers need to install again and perform hundreds of different activities. This is not a wise solution to a simple problem.
How to perform "safe mode" diagnostics???
Windows 7 does not require repair because it works perfectly in normal mode, here is the problem only with safe mode!

110
I do not know, this is a foldable PC with components by itself.
I need safe mode if the computer does not start correctly in normal mode for future.
The now normal mode works and the safe is not running, stuck in place and there is no reaction. Why does not it show any additional information that the system can not continue running in safe mode?

111
Of course, the safe mode has not been activated for a long time, read files and stops. I am waiting and nothing is happening.

112
Boggin - The solution is sometimes very simple. To close utorrent correctly, select "Exit" (from the File option) instead of the [X] button

113
utorrent is perfect only for downloading 100% free user material.
But you can not use the program correctly:
[Window Title]
utorrent177 (1) .exe

[Main Instruction]
It seems like μTorrent is already running, but not responding.

[Content]
Please close all μTorrent processes and try again.

[OKAY]

114
Restarting System helps, but when I reinstall the program, when I want to close again, the application not respond and can not be closed in any way

115
C:\Windows\system32> taskkill /IM utorrent.exe /T /F
ERROR: The process with the PID 5288 ID can not be terminated (process
slave with PID 4188). Cause: There is no running instance of the task.

C:\Windows\system32>

116
can not close and kill in any way the suspended program. Even the extreme (forced) killing of the process does not help.
Task mgr., Process Explorer, Kill etc.

A lot of messages in large numbers, e.g. the address has been blocked in ESET Internet Security. I do not know how to limit it, it still covers my windows.

118
Also, the system repair F6 & F8 does not work (only the Windows window is colored blue without any other options, nothing show).
I will add that Windows 7 starts correctly (Normal).

WR 4.023 The "Safe mode" repair does not work
It has long been that the safe mode has stopped all the time on iaStorA.sys (intel 9 series chipset family SATA AHCI Controler)
All drivers do not solve the problem.

Tweaking.com - Windows Repair v4.0.23

I have a problem with the long start of the Windows system, about 15-20 minutes.
"Running Windows System" (hanging)
I tried to repair "Fix Computer" with booting.
But even this application does not start.
SFC /SCANNOW does not help, CHKDSK also.
It happened suddenly.

HARD DISK SENTINEL shows:

Recently the following entries added to System Event Log:
7 warnings, most recent: (iaStorA; ID: 129)
The following function can be used to improve the situation: Disk -> Surface Test -> Disk repair
At this point, warranty replacement of the disk is not yet possible, only if the health drops further.
The TRIM feature of the SSD is supported and enabled for optimal performance.

Turn on the repeat mode PLAY

General Computer Support / I/O Bottlenecks: Fragmentation
« on: June 01, 2018, 03:14:12 pm »
Hi.
Defragmentation does not accelerate the disk, on the contrary, "grinding the disk head" during defragmentation shortens its lifetime and does not extend.
Modern disks are fast and do not require defragmentation. Defragmentation is a vicious circle that never ends (!!!). Because when you keep recording something, you'll have fragments without end. Defragmentation is needed only when you lose data, and fragmented files are impossible to recover completely because they become damaged due to the division into parts (scattered around the disk). My question is - what data recovery tools are able to fully recover files that were previously fragmented.
The second question - is looking for a tool that intelligently writes data to disk without defragmentation.
A similar tool exists (theoretically) because I did not notice any intelligent I/O writing (Diskepper Pro 18) or "System Mechanic InteliWrite" even though the manufacturer provides such possible, although they are untrue.

How do I disable reading multiple files in the background by the "System" process? The disk is working hard all the time. :undecided:
For example, I will open a large folder or subfolders, and if I close, the process is still active and reads thousands of files.
Of course, this is not due to indexing because I have permanently disabled!!! and disabled Prefetch
Can not pause or end the "System" process because it must be enabled.
I do not want to read any partitions, every folder and every file on the disk without any breaks. It will create a heavy load, and noise of the drive many hours.

125
I am looking for an addition to the contextual menu "Copy file name".
I really do not like 3 steps every time:
1. Change the name
2. Select
3. Copy

I know it is possible with other tools, but I use Explorer!
Simple copying file names can save a lot of time.
