Hi,
I have recently installed windows 7 and when i could view video and all , the screen saver could not run due to aero troubles. When i clicked and run it it says my video card driver has to be updated. But when i tried msoffice hot fix the problem still remains. The intel who has supplied the mother board, interalia did not provide any updated graphic drivers for their obselete and discontinued model. How to rectify this problem. The message says that the system requires compatible 3d viewers. Pl help

I think you mean WDDM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Display_Driver_Model

If your computer is to old and there isnt any updated drivers there isnt much you can do.

Hi, ya WDDM an direct 3d compatability. By merely buying the supported drivers , could this problem be solved?. What are the other solution . Glad that you too have windows 7. The problem is that it is not as easy as xp in understanding things.
What is the video card that would support my computer. I have enabled trouble shooting drivers and found that i have the best possible driver for video.I have applied the hotfix from microsoft also. What hardware parts i have to change.
Is it mother board, or video card. I do not much about the position of video card in my computer. Please advise

I do not want to play graphics games but i want screen savers moving, not 3d to my computer .If you advise positively then this would solve the problem in having xo scrs ub windows 7

You dont have video card drivers installed is the problem.

Standard video is windows default for the video card when it has no drivers for it.

Is your computer a store bought machine? If so what model and I can find the driver download for you.
