Sorry if this question was already asked

but is it necessary to uninstall the obsolete version before installing the latest one?

Nope, you can install right over the old one

downloaded and tried the program but it didn't seem to have any affect on my problems. I ran SFC before and after and it shows a corrupt msje40.dll and I also have a problem in regards to MDAC and net.framework stating it needs version 2.6 or better and I believe I have 2.8 installed. Seems to be a good diagnostic program and I would recommend it to others.

pinkrosim please dont hijack someone elses thread. Start a new thread and I will help you there, this thread isnt about fixing any problems and I like to keep 1 user per thread so I dont get mixed up on who I have trying what.
