As far as i know, in Roumainia, the "Return Policy" implies that you may recieve full refund when you return the product if only you return it within 24h hours from purchase. So thats out of question.A new thing came up though. When all students attend courses or are returning to their hometown, connection improves dramatically. So its just the large number of routers functioning on the same storey fighting eachother for the best channel or settle for the second best and so on.

As you aren't after a refund, perhaps the store where you bought it would exchange it for a similar or slightly higher priced different make & model.

While with a different router you could still have problems though, where other students routers have a default Auto wireless channel setting which could drop them onto your otherwise set channel and would be something you would need to keep checking against.

Have tried it with WZC disabled to stop your computer possibly jumping about ?

EDIT - WZC is a XP service and is not present on Win 7 - don't think it applies to Vista either, so computers not using XP won't be jumping about.

It's still showing as Automatic in your pic, albeit not as Started.

To change its status to Disabled you need to right click on it, select Properties and use the dropdown box to select that option.

Hmmm....

Never known a service to fire back up after being manually disabled.

I know some who haven't been able to connect wirelessly when the WLAN AutoConfig service has ended up in that state and has had to be manually reset.

Perhaps it's a XP Windows thing.
