Can you look in Event Viewer to give us some more details and what were you doing when this occurred ?

What OS are you using ?

Go Start - type msinfo32 and press enter.

Expand Components then click on Problem Devices to see what that reports.

I was after an Event Viewer Event ID No.

Does the machine blue screen when this occurs and give a Stop Code and is it only with this program - what does this program do ?

Google: CiceroUIWndFrame
Associated with the Office, but in this case - is associated with the Mixed In Key!!!

CiceroUIWndFrame Mixed In Key 7.5 (NET. FRAMEWORK)

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms131100%28v=vs.110%29.aspx

Environment.FailFast Method (String)
.NET Framework (current version)
Other Versions

Immediately terminates a process after writing a message to the Windows Application event log, and then includes the message in error reporting to Microsoft.

As it uses .NET Framework then there should be an error in Event Viewer, but have you tried reinstalling the program and what version of .NET Framework do you have installed ? - apparently it also uses Visual Studio 2012.

From a Google, the level of .NET Framework and Visual Studio should have been installed with the program, but go start - type appwiz.cpl and press enter to see what you have installed.

Issue:

Code: [Select]
Aplikacja: MixedInKey.exe
Wersja architektury .NET Framework: v4.0.30319

I found:

Example:

Let’s take an example where the .NET Framework Repair tool can be pretty helpful. Assume that we have .NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile installed on a computer and the installation got corrupted due to deleted installation files from both Windows Installer cache ([%windir\Installer]) as well as from .NET setup’s own cache ([%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\SetupCache\Client]). In that case, when we try to repair the product from the “Programs and Features” Control Panel applet, we will get the following screen:

Yes, when you right click on .NET Framework in Progs & Features you can select Change and then go onto Repair.

Depending upon which version of Windows you are using, you could upgrade .NET Framework to v4.5.2 or v4.6.1

Both have superseded v4.

Have you checked Event Viewer for any related errors ?

When you have problems with a program then I've found a reinstall often resolves, but have you installed anything prior to getting this error.

You could see if any of your start up items are conflicting in a clean boot by disabling all under the Startup tab and all non-MS services in msconfig.

I checked it:
Unfortunately this does not work, even after reinstall the operating system or repair the System!

I checked on different configurations

PC 1 Gigabyte P55A-UD4 i5, Win 7 Pro

PC 2 Asus Z97-Pro Version, Win 7 Ultimate

Laptop Acer Windows 7 Home or Pro I do not know what model

The same bug, so it is not the fault of my system

Now I know how to solve this problem:

Create a shortcut, and in the advanced properties select "Run as administrator" ;)

edit:
Very bad solution, should not run as an administrator !

Because the "drag and drop" will not work!

Boggin - I know what is causing the problem! UAC

So how to run the application without UAC Prompts ?

OK

Unfortunately, I do not understand too much. This is the Vista tutorial.
In Windows 7 it is a little different.

Here you installed the program (without the possibility of choosing a different path)
"C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Programs\Mixed In Key\Mixed in Key 7\MixedInKey.exe"

Don't know Vista but in Win 7 you can right click on a desktop icon and select Properties - Advanced then check the box to run the program as an admin.

run the program as an admin.

Programmer / Developer MIXED IN KEY said:

app should never run as admin

The thing is that we don't require elevation of privileges anywhere in code, and the app should never run as admin (except if the user explicitly runs it as admin, which would be a mistake).

My issue:
how to run the application without UAC Prompts

Well, if you are wanting to build a short cut that side steps UAC - what is the difference ?

I want to always run the application Mixed In Key 7.5 of parameters:

IsUacOs = True, IsElevated = False, UacBypassEnabled = True

I need a script to create a task.

I created the task, which returns an error:
The task does not exist.

Perhaps Julian can help you with that - I have no experience of creating a new task, but I can't see what hardship there is in default accepting an UAC prior to running a program.

It's there to protect you if you have a password protected machine.

Mine isn't and is only a single user admin account, but that is the way Windows has been designed to work.

Probably it did not work because missing:
Code: [Select]
Add arguments (optional): ............Here it is not so simple about what arguments it.

Mini-sample argument:

Code: [Select]
/task $(Arg0)
Code: [Select]
/startup (not sure)
