Unhide Non System Files - Unwanted Bug (Solved)
« on: November 29, 2011, 02:40:43 AM »
Applying the 'Unhide Non System Files' on Windows 7,
I have encountered that this function unhides also the folders, especially the
C:\Users\"USER"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned
that must stay hidden by default. So it shows a pinned folder on the taskbar that I can't hide again.

May you fix it?

You may consider to move the item 'Unhide Non System Files' to the bottom of the fixes list
(it's also alphabetically cool  and the new voice could be: Unhide Non System Files (extreme) or Unhide Non System Files (hard)
or... what you like best).

Thank you, hexist.

The unhide files repair I made because of the new viruses going around that are hiding every file on the drive.
I am not seeing the problem on my machine that your having, can you do a screen shot to show me? Seeing it will help me better understand :-)

I could have the unhide files repair skip that folder

I thought of that as well. Tell I went to go do it. ALl the code is written by the order of the list. If I changed the order I have to change the code, it would be a lot of work. I need to try to find a better way of running the repairs in the list. This way I can sort the list and not have to change any code around.

I will save that for a future version. Putting a lot of my time into the next program "Tweaking.com - Advanced System Tweaker"
Need to start getting testers ready as well :-)

Hi shane, I've tested the release 1.5.6 to make a screenshot but it seems the problem is solved.
Great.
