Were there any faultykeyboard.log files? If so I need them also as they have the info as to which key(s) need to be deleted.

OK, download the KBL_New.reg file double click to merge it then try to install the update again. If successful double click the 2 reg files that were backed up on your desktop (KBLayout.reg & KBLayouts.reg) to restore the reg keys then restart your PC. Otherwise just let me know it failed and we'll move on to the next step.

OK, Try this one. This will empty the KeyBoardLayout keys completely. Double click the reg file to merge then try installing the update. Double click the backed up reg files on your desktop to restore the keys and then restart your PC.

Your PC seems to be missing the kbd101.dll (JP Japanese Keyboard Layout for 101) & kbd101a.dll (KO Hangeul Keyboard Layout for 101 (Type A)). The reg key for these dll files already did not exist in the KBLayouts.reg however there was an entry for jp and ko in the KBLayout.reg. These files should be located in the c:\windows\system32 folder. If you find them elsewhere in your PC copy them (don't move) to this location. Otherwise they are missing.

Were there any other faultykeyboard*.log files if so please post all of them!

Great, glad that took care of it! Just make sure that you double click to merge both of the KBLayout.reg and KBLayouts.reg files to restore the original registry keys if you haven't done so already and then you are done with this problem.
