Black Screen - Fixed

Hi, Have you tried any  new custom desktop display. What is your operating system. If you choose adifferent desktop display, then there is possibility of loosing colur default display. If you restore to the normal desktop display, then your problem would be solved. I do not know. I had this problem and once i reset the default windows desktop, my problem got solved.

Do you have any external hard drives hooked to the system?
>no, I do not plug in the new working hard drive into the USB port

I did notice that after I re-stalled the old hard drive, I had to go back into setup in the install CD, it then backed up the registy. probably the BAD one, Which file does it back up from REGBAK? if so, then I have a mind to copy the files from the working disk to that folder...

It seems that is where the problem takes me back too at this point...

is there ap prgram that will search only restore points, deleted ones at that? seems that is what we need here! oops, another idea slipped out or is there an actual program for that?
