Windows Explorer
(1/1)
deamarie:
Having problems with windows explorer not responding.
Willy2:
- What kind of Windows & Internet Explorer do you use ?
- Did you run Windows Repair ? With the "Repair IE" box ticked ?
Shane:
What version of Windows?
A lot of times when explorer doesnt respond it is because of a program that is hooked to it, does it happen when your in safe mode?
And what are you doing when it happens? Right clicking something, waiting for thumbnails to show? Things like that.

I have Windows 7 - 64 laptop with Home Premium. The problem starts as soon as I get on. It does it even in safe mode. Now I get a black screen quite frequently. It has gotten a little better the last day or two. Have done research and tried many things but it goes back to being bad again. Not doing much right clicking or anything. I have internet explorer but usually use google chrome. I have run windows repair. I have tried using another administrator. It just doesn't seem to make any difference.
Shane:
OK before I have you try some things, first scan your system with this and let me know if it finds anything

This is their rootkit scanner, different than their normal scanner.
