Shane:
Lets keep this in one thread, I am getting confused on what I have answered lol.

Lets stick to the other thread and go from there :-)

@FTR:
- I ran WR on my own 32 bits XP machine and the dutch equivalent of this error ("Le chemin d'accès spécifié est introuvable") showed up multiple times. So, I assume you have a 32 bits XP computer. Do you have a 32 bits XP system ? On my Win 7 64 bits system these errors don't show up.
- VSS: Ah, that's a service that's always (a little) reluctant to run properly. VSS also needs the cooperation of "Software Shadow Copy provider" service. The best remedy is to run WR's "Repair Volume Shadow copy". At least, it has helped me multiple times.
Instead of letting Task Scheduler kick Registry Backup into action, I have placed a shortcut to RB (with the appropriate switches) in one of the start up folders.

(@Shane: Watch your email in box).

@FTR:  WR tries to manipulate three services in "Repair Firewall". But since two of them don't exist in XP, each failure to manipulate those 2 services generates the error #1060 (=the service isn't installed). But it's a non fatal error. WR doesn't care and simply continues to execute the rest of the commands needed for the repair.

The error "Le chemin d'accès spécifié est introuvable" (=path not found) is a similar non fatal error. The rest of the program code will still work and do its job.

ftr:
@Willy2 : I shall follow your advice to repair the VSS copy service and report back.
Thanks
ftr

@FTR:
- The error "Le service ............ n'est pas lanc" (french for "the service ......... has not started") is also a non fatal message. It means that WR tried to stop a service but Windows replied with the (non fatal) message that the service already has been stopped. In this case WR also continues with the next commands of the repair.
- The errors, you reported in this thread, give a good clue where the WR program code needs to (must) be improved.
