getting stranger
I had to use a repair disc to rebbot the computer
if found a windows on B drive  but easy bcd shows C where it is

some time back I hav a second windows on b  but removed it
 perhaps it was not all removed and thhis cound be why it wont  update as it find b drive

there is a outdate hiberfil.sys still on B and that cant be remover l

it simply states in the bax  : fould windws ultra in drive B

I mean in Windows if you can take a screen shot of the contents of drive B so I can see what is on there and why it thinks windows is there.
