Then it may not be a Windows update program after all but more of something those 2 updates need on the system instead. have you checked the Windows update installer log to see if it gives more information on what went wrong?

Where do I find the log files?

If you have the main window in "Windows Repair" open, you will find the log files in the tab "Settings", click on the "Open Log Folder" button.

Try this:
Manually download those 2 updates from the MS update website and manually install those updates. Perhaps then it will work.
