Problem with System Restore

Couldn't fix my problem but it could be helpful for others.

There was a step "Rebuild the WMI components " if I remember right AIO already does that?

What I haven't tried yet is to create a restore point in safe mode and then trying to restore it. It might be that something is interfering with system restore (e.g. anti virus) and it fails to create a proper backup what cannot be restored. If that is the case it would be same to me if I disable it completely and move to something more reliable backup tool.

Yeah my repair tool already covers wmi.

Try the safe mode trick and let me know :wink:

D7 has a repair for system restore.  Not sure if it works or what exactly it does as I have never tried it.  Worth a shot.  Here is a link to the latest version:
