continue to use the PC,if I press OK the machine shuts down.

Your Tweaking program done a great job in getting everything else working in
ship shape condition.

Can you help sort this problem for me.

Shane:
svchost.exe is used to run services. Looks like you have a service that is crashing it.

Are you able to get into safe mode with out it crashing?

Shane
thanks for the quick reply.

On starting in safe mode there is no sign of the application error notice.

I am not technically minded on a PC although I can get around,as I said previously after I debug everything seems to be working all right.

Shane:
Ok start up in normal mode.

When you see the error don't click it, that way it wont shutdown on you.

Go to the start button and in the run or search box type in msconfig

Click on the services tab. Then put a check on hide MS services. Take a screen shot of what is left in the list and post it for me

Shane:
Ok I got your email with the screen shots.

Man that is a LOT of 3rd party services! No wonder your having trouble. Now the fun part. Finding out which one is causing the error.

So try this, on that same windows, uncheck all the non ms services. Save and reboot. Does the crash still happen?
