Let's just agree to disagree on this because we could go on forever and you're right, we're getting way off topic here.

You know what they say about opinions right?  :cheesy:

Everyone has there likes :-)

Try this next time. Open task manager on a new windows 7 machine. Go open an exe that is a good size and watch the MS AV process max one of the cores and the program not open till it is done.

New machine for a customer (3.4 ghz 4 core, 8Gb ram, Mirrored WD enterprise drives), fresh install, not infected. They where opening a program that was 11 mb in size. Program took 11 secs to open. Watched the MS AV sit there and scan it then the program would open. Removed MS and the program opens in under 2 sec. Even with panda on it.

It was those types of things that made me dump it.

Just because something isn't working the best doesn't mean right off the bat that the machine is infected.

Im just damn picky. When almost everyone of my customers complained of the system being slow on opening programs compared to what it was before hehe.

We install MS on all our customers machines, as well as new builds, and have never had one complaint.

Not sure what you mean.

Yes, we are extremely picky as well - we don't want customers coming back to complain obviously.  I just have never had any problems at all with MSE.  We have found it to be the best protection available.

Just tested by opening a 22mb exe.  Opened instantly, no delay at all.  Not sure why you are seeing this.

Shane:
Not sure as well. It wouldn't happen every time for him. Open it sometimes and it was fine, other times took forever.

MS was great otherwise. I just don't understand why MS would let their AV have the slowest scanner on the market. Oh well. So far Panda has done great and stopped the slow downs.

Anyways back to this topic LOL
