Windows update kb2800095
Shane:
To do a repair install you need a Windows 7 dvd with SP1 on it, if you dont have it you can grab it here
https://sites.google.com/site/linuxlablibrary/windows-iso
And you can use this guide to double check anything for the repair install process :-)

So I reinstalled windows.
I however lost my product key. I got the copy from dreamspark (free for students) a year ago.
Will running windows updates before activation hurt anything?
I've put a ticket in with dreamspark to get an activation key. Twiddling my thumbs in the mean time haha

Besides the unactivated windows I think this is solved. Updates have been going through, and I can finally use my mouse!!

When you do run my Windows Repair I want you to run all the repairs, make sure to do a registry backup first.

Can not wait for the version to see what you have done.
Just wondering if there is a guide for Windows 8 for doing the repair too. Thanks.
Shane:
You have 30 days before you have to activate it, so till then everything will work as normal :-)
