new folder option gone !

Thanks Boggin, I tried using the command prompt but now I have to find out how to make my pc realise I am the admin. When I work it out and rediscover where I found the command prompt I will get back to you with the results,,, ta for your time, Im grateful.
Dont laugh,,,I saved a bunch of new folders to a stick drive on my other pc (laptop) and downloaded them to the main pc,,,,,,,,it actually worked :smiley:
Not ideal,, but has got me a bit further with what I need to do

Did you open a cmd.exe window and run
sfc /scannow
yet? If so what where the results?

Hi Shane, I havent yet found how to open the cmd.exe window yet. Sorry.

Start button, All programs, Accessories
There you will see CMD, right click on it and choose run as administrator.

Thanks for the help Shane, I wouldnt have found how to that in a month of sundays. The scan results state ' no integrity violations'
