window installer

Which program? I have many :-)

Also have you done a sfc /scannow on your system yet?

And what version of Windows do you have?

Sorry, I ran the windows repair (all in one), I went through each step.  vista  32-bit

Did the sfc scan return anything?

yes, found corrupted files but was unable to fix some of them..
