What version of windows are you? You didnt answer properly last time, last time you said

Windows what? Vista? 7?

From the last post you made I see updates that have to do with vista, so I will assume you are on vista. Vista has horrible bugs that have never been fixed. The fastest and easiest thing to do will be a repair install, since nothing else is working.

A repair install will keep all your settings and files but reinstall the OS. It is the same thing as doing an upgrade of windows to the same version.

But you will need your vista cd with sp2 already on it. If you dont have that you will need to find one. :wink:
