System Protection - error 0x80070005

<< < (2/3) > >>

Clade:
Equipment running well. Super fast ..

Already tested .. chkdsk.

I tried all the available backups Registry Tweaking the oldest of 29.08 and nothing changed in the protection system.

In the last restart msconfig returned to work.

Shane:
Did you run all the repairs in the Windows Repair tool?

Shane

Clade:
I managed to resolve the difficulty by using the same procedure for cases where it was not possible to create a restore point: Catastrophic Failure 0x8000FFFF Error When Trying to Use MS Backup. The equipment in question I could create the restore point, unlike the solution presented.

The difficulty concerned the protection configuration of the system, not creating restore points.

solution:

1 Start:

2 type "services";

3 Scroll down the list of services and double-click the Volume Shadow Copy service.

4 Select Manual from the Startup Type field if it is not already selected.

5 Click the Start button under Service Status

6 Click OK and close the services window.

7 Try to reconfigure the system protection.

See attachment:

NOTE: Remember that if the service is manual, you can change to another starting and then returning again to manual.

In this case, the object of this post, even adopting the procedure, another error appeared, but I was clicking OK, OK, and everything was working. Even rebooting and everything working.

Well, well, well, these are things of the Windows OS.

Remembering that I have OS images, but this gives me the assurance to try other solutions.

Shane:
Was vss disabled? And all it took was enabling it?

I never understood why, if MS has so many of their tools require other services, why they dont ever have the tools set to reenable a service if it is needed, or at least ask the user lol

Shane

Clade:
Did not quite understand what happened, because I was creating restore points without any error, it can be assumed that the VSS was working.

Today, I tested again, and everything is working fine.

As I like to read and participate in various forums in the area of Windows OS, I see lots of complaints from users, many unanswered questions and so many answers that do not resolve the inconsistency. . . One gets the impression that Microsoft is not too worried about them.
