Keyboard keys not recognized by OS

Computer: Win 7 home premium x64, 6.1.7601 service pack 1 build 7601
Keyboard is recognize at start to get into bios. once OS boots nothing, i have to use the on screen keyboard. tried three different kybd two usb, one wireless . all 3 work on another computer no problem. I have tried all 3 kybds in all usb drives-nothing. i updated drivers nothing . i removed drivers and let windows update install ...installed fine but not work. ran avg,antimaleware, ccleaner, adaware, microsoft fix it and your tweaking program. my keyboard still working with os. short of reinstall any ideas?

Go to your computer or motherboard support site and download the Chipset drivers - if you are using AMD architecture then you will need the video drivers.
However, when I've run the AMD auto detect and got the latest Win 7 drivers for mine, it has put a red hue on my screen so had to roll those back.

As it's an USB keyboard and even though drivers have been updated, it could be the BUS Controller (can't quite remember what they call that but I know what I mean :smiley:) as the OP has uninstalled the Host Controllers etc. and Windows has reinstated those without resolving.
The South Bridge of the Chipset drivers looks after those and downloading those could resolve.
