help with blank desktop

correct i have only taskbar and yes the Explorer.exe is running ! and yes i can open ths task manager and just a black screen with the mouse i have :smiley:

OK good, so you do have the task bar. Are you able to right click on the desktop and pull up the menu?

OK, so when you right click on the desktop, go to view (in the menu that opens) are you able to set and change anything there? Is there a check mark on view desktop icons?

Did you try the downloads at the bottom of my said links in the sevenfourm. This normally fixes .There are options . You could accordingly choose.
Shane solution has worked out when i explained the same problem in my other thread. Building up iconcache is a different thing that it restores the shape of icon and not the presence.
Hi, gamez, could you access the files or is it hanging in black,white arrow of death.
