Shane, Everyone; ( how to free up disk space? )

(1/2) > >>

Rick:
lets say our systems is a server; or we have several user accounts on our system; (the C:\ is getting overloaded)

The question is; can you create or modify this program view attached? hereby enabling a right click menu on the user menu properties;

Example;     right clicking pictures folder brings up an option to move all the pictures folder to another drive or specified folder so that we can move the user accounts to another free drive?

thanks in advance

Shane:
You can control where the profile stuff is located, you can do that via the registry under the current user and shell folders.

You can also clear up a lot of space running the disk cleanup tool and having it cleanup everything but also make sure to have it cleanup windows updates. You didnt say what version of Windows but with 7, 2008 and newer the disk cleanup can cleanup old Windows updates freeing up a good amount of space. If it is XP or 2003 you can manually remove old updates in the Windows folders, they will all be in the kbuninstall folders.
