sounds like a registry is needed

problem is, i ran every related type of software to find or fix it...

Boggin:
With MS programs you can right click on them in Programs and Features - click on Change then use the Repair option.

You can do the same with Adobe Reader so try the same on your other troublesome Adobe program - this doesn't work on Adobe Air or Flash Player but does for Shockwave.
