Dear NVidia The reason your display problems exist is because?
Samson:
Which site says that you have the latest drivers? Your best bet is to use the Nvidia site, not a third party.
As an aside, have n't you recently done a clean install of Vista? If so, did you install the chipset drivers for your motherboard too?

yes, did a clean install. that's a good idea to look at updating the chipset drivers, but ASuS already don't support vista any longer too.
Its why it makes no sense. I am considering migraining too win7 ultimatum.

It is crucial for the correct functioning of the machine to install the chipset drivers....Still no reply as to where you got the video driver from? Nvidia will have the most recent one.
"migraining too win7 ultimatum", may "threaten further headaches as well"
N.B. I checked the site that you linked to and compared the video drivers for 4 machines in our house, both ATI/AMD and Nvidia and they were all way out of date (time and version) against those from vendors' sites.

From the Nvidia website directly; used the other resources as they generally only install the identified drivers rather than what Nvideia calls updated drivers every other week...
perhaps if Nvidia developed a system board check, that might be more useful...
either way, the system problem exists switching users, and waking up! perhaps Nvidia could learn to wake up?

"System board check"....If you mean checking what nvidia graphics card that you have installed and what drivers are required, then they do (requires Java).

Did you install the motherboard chipset driver as per previous posts?
If no joy, then why not uninstall and revert to the generic Windows driver that you say worked for you before?
