Is there a way to delay some startup programs?
(1/1)
jmk909er:
I like to have dropbox and skype running but I would like them to delay maybe a minute or two so it doesn't slow the statup. Is there a good way to do this?
Samson:
I have n't used it for a while, but found that Startup Delayer did a good job.

WinPatrol also has a feature to delay startup times.

Willy2:
- Use Task Scheduler to start one or more programs upon start up and add a delay for each task/program. No need to run a special program to do that job.

Please check this: --> programs --> autostart
You can delete all programs listed there by using rightclick. Don't care, there are only concurrances. You don't delete the programs.

Hey Willy2 this looks like a good solution but I tried to set it up and I am not sure what I need to put in the field in the screenshot
Willy2:
- You need to add the path+filename of the *.exe file (e.g. Skype) in that place.
- Task Scheduler is very powerful but not too simple.
