Debating the integrity of Search engines.

You can set your homepage as DuckDuckGo, if that is what you mean.

Firefox will save your history, unless you set it otherwise.

The point in this thread was that DuckDuckGo does not store details of your activity, whereas Google etc do.

Bear in mind that aside from Google searches, they continue to track you online.....unless you use something like https://www.ghostery.com/en/our-solutions/ghostery-add-on/ , or similar.

See the screenshot below of trackers on Tweaking.com homepage.

Samson,
Would you add more information about the localised search with this. There is no problem. in IE, i made it as default engine.
Is it work like firefox, which has google as search engine. I mean, it works as search engine in another browser. Does not have its own search engine, only browser. Is that correct?

Samson:
FF settings > Options > Search

As below.

Hi, Samson, My query is related to the typing of search words in duckduckgo. Because, there are so many blogs and sites in my regional lanaguage. Google has keyboard for all the languages so, you could search in your language and the results would be shown in the same language.
But the search results are showing the regional sites which have english as common language.

Samson:
Jraju,

I do not know the answer to that one my friend, I think you may have to toggle your regional and language settings for your OS in control panel, in order to enter the search word in the language that you want and hopefully display the results in the same.

When english is your first language, it makes you lazy  :shy:
