I am a new user to Windows Repair...in fact I am stuck on Optional Step 4. The System File Check Found "corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" What should I do? Should I go ahead and run the repair, or what should I do? Thank you/

Julian:
Ah okay I would need to see the log to see what it is saying.
repost this in this forum and I'll help you out.

You can also make sure to have the program do a registry backup and run all the repairs in Windows safe mode and see how the system does. Sometimes the files sfc finds or cant fix are minor, other times they are not, but the only way that effect the repairs is when registering files (If they are the wrong version)

So if that does happen you can simply restore the registry from the backup the program makes before the repairs :-)

OK, but it just said what I quoted: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. If there was a log with specific info, I didn't see it, but I can do it again and see....

OK, I'm game, but not sure about all this...
