settings in Services.msc changed after repair?

Remote desktop services, no, that is normally manual unless you have it turned on, then it is changed to automatic.

Even if it is set to automatic, if you dont have the port open in the router or you dont have it allowed through the windows firewall then even when enabled people still wont be able to connect.

Thats what is the pain about the services, depending what you have turned on or off will change their default startup type on the system.

so how would that get switched on? It was set to automatic and 'started' when I found it.

Unless the repair changed it, the settings would have been changed after the repair, right? otherwise the repair would have set it back to its default setting?

- What's the internal name for those Services ?
- You can modify the start up states of those Services if you don't like the current state of those Services. The info pane of repair #27 gives you an example how to do that. The info pane gives you an example for the Firewall Service.

Yeah, I already turned them back off, I'm just concerned about how Remote Desktop Services was turned on in the first place
