Strange video problem

The only things I've found so far that were missing and I had to reinstall were the desktop background picture and the pinned links to my start menu and taskbar.  All of which are very easy to reinstall.  I'm not sure why they are linked to Internet Explorer but then again we are talking about Microsoft.

hmm did you ever right click on a picture within internet explorer while browsing on the internet?

sounds like a cached .jpg background
