Anybody notice the change in adobe reader
« on: August 06, 2015, 04:47:58 am »
Hi, Previously adobe reader does not contain so much tools . But now when you download the adobe site, you are invited with adobe acrobat reader dc which altogether looks differently from the earlier adobe reader. It contains so much edit menu, convert menu and so on. But the problem is whenever you open a document generally, it opens with task pane at the right. You have to click to close each time. The task pane contain useful tools and cloud.
It gives option of cloud storage, or save as file.
Would anybody give idea how to open the pdf without taskpane. Please say also about cloud storage. Normally when the adobe player or adobe flash player is not updated, you find yourself difficulty in browsing web pages.
How acrobat, which was once priced, has been given as free.
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

I have old version of adobe reader installed on my system but I never use it and I really don’t needed for Adobe products because they are vulnerable to attacks.!

I only need for adobe flash players for online games lol

Take a look at Sumatra, it's faster, lighter and does the job.

I need Adobe Reader installed for one of my Utility bills as it wouldn't open in Foxit, but I don't need to use any menus.

Hi, Boggins,
I suppose that you use earlier version of adobe reader, which is also having task pane and once you click the top right menu a lightning symbol , you will have the normal view without task pane.
But nowadays if you download adobe reader , you are directed to adobe acrobat reader dc
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

I always keep Adobe products up to date for security reasons, but once I click on the PDF download link in my online utility bill, I don't need to bother with any side menus.
