(SOLVED)Windows update updates not installing

<< < (6/13) > >>

Julian:
Heh heh that was easy so if you can delete the old log of the system file checker then run the command in elevated command prompt sfc /scan now and post that clean log so i can look at that. It will give me an idea of what it cant repair

Tacotardis42:
Well should I delete the old log, because the SFC log is inside of the CBS log. Is there any way to seperate the SFC log from the CBS? Because unless I am very mistaken, deleting the CBS log is not a good idea. But on another note, unless it recorrupted (again) I do not think I have any SFC errors. Should I run it again anyway?

Julian:
Cbs log yes sorry tired if its small upload it ill read it

Tacotardis42:
ok lemme redo the sfc

Boggin:
When the sfc /scannow completes and reports unable to repair some files, you can use the following cmd to post an abbreviated version of the CBS Log.

findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

If you can copy and paste it to the cmd prompt, it will save the risk of typos.

This cmd will put an icon onto the desktop which you can double click to open the CBS Log in Notepad which you can then copy & paste into the reply box.
