Strange .mp3 problem
Roy Whitethread:
Previously I have downloaded hundreds of .mp3 files, played them in Winamp, then used mp3Direct Cut to get rid of silences at the beginning and end of the files. I then saved the edited files, adding the figure 1 to the song title to distinguish it from the original, then played them again with Winamp to check they were ok, and finally deleted the original files, deleted the figure 1 from the title of the edited files, and then cut and pasted them to the folders I wanted them in. Now when I try to play the edited files I can't unless I first take ownership of them. I have never had this problem before, and if someone can give me a solution I would be very grateful.
Roy Whitethread:
Running the Tweaking.com repair tool solved the problem on Windows 10, but not on Windows 7.
I hope to hear from anyone about a solution.
Thanks and regards, Roy
Boggin:
Is the Win 10 WR log that you posted in your other thread the same one that fixed your .mp3 problem ?
If it is, can you post the WR log for Win 7 and then Shane will probably be able to spot what was fixed for Win 10 but not for Win 7.
Roy Whitethread:
Yes it is the same one.
Several of the WR log files for Win 7 are attached, and I await further advice. (If you need any other log for the Win 7 WR please let me know).
Boggin:
Shane is the best one to analyse the WR log files so I would wait for his return on Monday.
If Win 10 is still playing up, have you considered reverting and then using the Upgrade option with the ISO.
I think Win10 has had some updates, but not sure if they are for Edge.
