Right Click Menu Windows 10 Missing Options
ETLN01:
Hi.
I ran Windows Repair Tool v3.4.3 yesterday afternoon on a Windows 10 Pro 64bit PC upgraded from Windows 8.1 Pro bit. I am now having an issue on the start menu where when I right click on a program the normal options are missing. The Pin to taskbar and Uninstall options are no longer appearing. On the all apps section the only option appearing is unpin from start / pin to start. This is regardless of whether it is a store app or a normal desktop app.
From what I can tell the right click menu on the desktop and explorer is normal.
This is the second computer I've had this issue appear on. Can somebody please advise me how I can possibly fix it?
Update: Restored the backup registry, the issue was fixed. So I decided to investigate further and from what I can tell it is the Reset Registry Permissions option causing the issue. Hope that helps.

Did you ever figure out exactly what it was in the registry that was causing the issue? My Windows 10 system had some major issues and I ran Windows Repair in an attempt to fix the problems and now I have the same issues you had with the entries in the context menus being missing. Unfortunately, in my case I've made so many changes to my system since my first Windows Repair and registry backup that I fear that I would mess a lot up if I tried to restore my registry from backup. Also my first run of Windows Repair on my Windows 10 system fixed a lot of issues so I'm also reluctant to go backwards now even if I had just noticed the issue after the repair function.

I don't know the exact registry entry, I did try to have a look around but I didn't know what I was looking for to try fix it. I ended up having to reinstall my copy of Windows 10 as I did do a system restore and that completely messed everything up. I had run another program though which I think did the damage not Windows Repair Tool. The only issue I had that Windows Repair Tool caused was the right click menu. You might be better to wait it out and hope that the issue is discovered and fixed in a later version update. I tried to make a new user but that had the issue present also.
