windows update cannot currently check for for updates
garegin:
windows update cannot currently check for updates, because updates on this computer are controller by your system administrator
I'm running win7 home premium. I ran tweaking repair tool, and the problem persists. have any ideas why?
I ran sfc and it fixed the corruption succesfuly, but it's still the same issue.

Go to this thread download the zip the batch file should have a command that says restore defaults or something like that lol can't remember but it should remove update settings set by administrator. Hmm but only for local machine not current user let me know if it does not do it.
garegin:
once i get to "install windows updates via powershell" and then choose any of the options (all, drivers, software, critical..) it says checking and then kicks me back to the main menu.
Julian:
Lol don't hit the install updates I said hit the restore defaults well since you hit it and it did not work it should have created a update log txt file I can tell you what happened just show me the log.
garegin:
ok it was HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\ disablewindowsupdateaccess
can I go ahead and erase the key. I don't want to be accediently re-enabled.
