Need Help Replacing Corrupted Files Windows 7
sparkyg:
Hi Julian
Thanks for the help. I really do think it is the chip driver or one of the windows updates of a combination. Can't roll the chip driver back (nothing there) and spent the day downloading intel diag tools and update tools to no avail. The intel driver update says it finds no drivers for you product?
I would just do the recover process but that would wipe everything out and some of the apps may not be able t be reloaded. I will keep plugging.

I was able to run the IRST_9.5.4.1001.exe which is the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Installer and after restart I was able to do Windows Updates again. 64 updates later I am able to save downloads again, I'm not getting the windows validation error messages and I ran sfc again and it reported 0 problems. chkdsk is clear as well.
Will update if issues return.
Julian:
What does prescan tell you with Windows repair?
Boggin:
Have you done anything about replacing that HDD yet and what did HDSentinel report ?
sparkyg:
The prescan still finds issues with KB3006137 which from what I can find only udates and issue with Lithuanian currency? I don't know if all the files listed are from that one udate?
This update was from Feb 2015 right before my HDD started to die.
