Corrupt system files

SRoper:
I think there's a part of the text file that may not have copies across so am also attaching the text file. Most sincere thanks for your help.

Boggin:
I'm not sure if unregistering iesysprep.dll and then re-registering would resolve as the one in the store is also corrupt.

This can also be caused by an infection, so running an anti-malware scan with something like the free version of MBAM in Safe Mode with Networking may find something.

You can decline the offer of the Premium trial during its installation and when it has updated itself, click on Settings/Detection and Protection and ensure it is treating PuPs and PuMs as malware - you can use the dropdown to change that status.

What problems were you having for you to run the sfc /scannow in the first place and did uninstalling Revo return the cmd prompt to the same as mine ?

To unregister and re-register, run a cmd prompt as an admin then enter -

regsvr32 /u iesysprep.dll

regsvr32 /i iesysprep.dll

shutdown /r /t 00 (which will reboot the computer).

Run another sfc /scannow to see if that has resolved.

SRoper:
Thank you very, very much for your further guidance. I run malwarebytes very regularly so am satisfied that there is now no infection on my machine. I only started doing this about three to four months ago and at that time did discover that there were infections on my machine. I can't unfortunately say whether this is about the time of discovering the corrupted files. I have not idea when this may have happened. I have tried to unregister and re-register as you suggest a get the message shown in the attachment. Would value your further guidance most highly.

Boggin:
What is the response when you just enter regsvr32 iesysprep.dll ?

SRoper:
Thank you. I get the same message. See attached screenshot.
