Not sure what you mean plugged in it is in the tower itself, sorry i not know

I thought it may have been an USB one.
Either way, it will need replacing as you can no longer rely on it to back up your stuff or restore from it as the data on it will be corrupt.

OK I will ask that damn guy who put it in just a few days ago if there a warranty on it :teeth:

You don't get that many bad sectors within a few days - that's serious wear.
It's either one he's had on a shelf somewhere or it was defective from new.
Definitely worth boning him about it as there should be warranty on it if new, but either way, you have redress given the time frame.
