Ad And Tracker Blocking

Lady:
Thank you, Julian!

I removed the very first line. That looked a bit odd for people who don't know about the move when they start out with this new thread. :)

BTW, don't worry, your ego can NOT inflate if you never heard of uBlock and Ghostery. Lol

Lady:
Boggin, at the risk of making a superfluous remark, it might be important. Are you aware of the difference between uBlock and uBlock Origin? The thing is, it seems that uBlock is not being updated anymore.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBlock

Boggin:
Having read that Origin was better than uBlock, I've removed it from FF and installed Origin, but my initial install for uBlock was from using a link for a specific download for FF as I wasn't sure if Origin was FF compatible at the time.

Jethro Bodine:
I use uBlock origin and like the degree of "Tweaking" it gives the user .

A slight digression here -

This is the source of the most persistent and annoying tracking cookie I've ever come across
adnxs.com

It comes from Skype and is stored here
AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies

Each time I delete it , it returns in a different form.
I use Hosts Block , which is excellent , but this one still gets through.

Is anybody else seeing this ?

Note : of the various on-demand scanners I use , only Super AntiSpyware finds it.

Lady:
How can I get to see the Cookies folder in Explorer?
