Okay then.

In the cmd prompt that you have, proceed from regedit to see if deleting those sub keys will do it.

Am I able to also restore the backed up registry from command prompt? Will that help? I will have to reboot to command prompt and walk through your suggestions. I am currently using the hp windows bypass instant internet feature to search and post. Thank you so very much for your help. Will post with update asap.

Boggin:
I'm not sure how the program does that but you can see if these steps for Win 7 will do that for you, but have you tried deleting those registry sub keys to see if that will get you back into Windows.

This may be premature, but I found the video for restoring registry backup from command prompt in the tweaking.Com articles section. I restored the registry and it rebooted and stated it was doing a checkdisk!  Looks like it's gonna boot!

Julian:
let me know if you can get it to boot. :D im wondering if you have a GPT and not MBR .if you open cmd and type in Diskpart then type in  LIST DISK
you will get something that looks like this

--- Code: ---DISKPART> LIST DISK

Disk ###  Status      Size     Free     Dyn  Gpt

  --------  ----------  -------  -------  ---  ---

  Disk 0    Online        75 GB      0 B
--- End code ---
if it's blank then you have a mbr if it has anything in gpt then its a gpt so then you would need to follow these instructions
this link should show you how to fix a GPT partition
