A Very Strange File Association Error From Context Menu

<< < (2/4) > >>

jraju:
Hi, I think your computer may have been infected with some trojans which would have changed your exe file with ini. You try to remove these with malwarebytes and jrt and adw cleaner tools, if you have. If you have already done that, please see that it is that exe file changed the file extension ,

Boggin:
Try the operation again and then check Event Viewer to see if it has recorded any Errors.

Reliability history may also have something.

fabrikator:
OK people,

I have NO viruses, NO Trojans, No malware, NO spyware, NO adware, NO Hi-jackers  ... NO BUGS AT ALL  !!!

And Boggin, I've looked through the Event Viewer till I'm cross-eyed and can't see anything applying to the error

And I re-ran all new Tweaking.com v3.9.1 repairs and still no fix.

It's time to escalate this to the top level head man. Can you get him to take a look  ??

Thanks,

Bill

jraju:
Hi, before the headman  comes to the picture, why cannot try this fix
download, extract and run the reg file.
Please take a back up of registry in case needed or create SR before doing the reg modification

Julian:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts can you locate that key and export it I wanna see what it looks like. Im curious.
