CHKDSK /F /R (ERROR: Cannot open volume for direct acces)
makinero:
CHKDSK /F - work
CHKDSK /F /R - not work
Boggin:
/r has the attributes of /f so try the cmd as chkdsk /r to see what it reports then.
makinero:
--- Code: ---CHKDSK /R C:
--- End code ---
Message:
--- Quote ---Errors found. Unable to continue. Use chkdsk /F
--- End quote ---
makinero:
It's always worked, now not!
--- Code: ---CHKDSK /v /f /r /b C:
--- End code ---
, but it is a bug in Windows, you do not know how to fix?
Again, I look for solutions on google ???
Boggin:
What message does the cmd chkdsk c: /f return ?
I've always put the drive letter before the switch but Windows will default check c: when the drive letter isn't included in the cmd.
If you continue to get errors from that cmd then look to see what Event Viewer has recorded - and no, I didn't need Google for that, but if you aren't satisfied with any help you get on this forum then you are quite free to look elsewhere.
We give our time freely and help where we can and if we don't know, then Google is a good source of info - which I suggest you start using before asking for help.
As you aren't happy with any help I can give or point you in the right direction, then this will be my last response to any of your threads.
